You will start the game in the starter system LHS 3447 at Trevithick Dock with 1000 credits and a Sidewinder if you don't own the Horizons season pass. Most everything you do will be making progress to at least one achievement anyway, so just learn the ropes and enjoy the game for the time being. I would suggest not worrying about the achievements yet, as most of them will be well beyond your means for sometime. In either case, the game does not actually give you a multiplayer experience until after your first hyperspace jump.
